The location is secluded and peaceful. The building, rooms and grounds are a little old and crumbly but clean and green. The sounds of nature are amazing and awesome. We were prepared for simple meals without much of a choice, having read reviews and understanding that the location has a part to play. However, we did not expect the food to be bad. What made it worse was that when we gave feedback on my brother’s dish, which was especially hard, the server said he would talk to the chef, then came back with the receipt saying it is what we ordered. It was also interesting that when we were still hanging around after dinner, we indicated to the server (who was attentive) that we were done and that he could clear the dishes, sensing that he wanted to. He offered the information that yes the chef wants to go home! There are no telephones in the room. The TV turned on by itself 3 times at night, disrupting our sleep. Basically you are on your own if you need assistance at night. The nice part of this stay is the horse riding stables. We had a nice chat with the very friendly trainer the next morning and had fun playing with the horses. If you want to try horse riding, the fees are additional. All in all, I can’t rate this accom highly as we did not get proper rest (good, uninterrupted sleep is a basic expectation), food was not good with no accessible options, and service was nonchalant; almost laughable. Not worth what we paid. However the place has a lovely proposition with its serenity and horses - I hope it does better.

Hidden gems for those who seek a peaceful and relax getaway. The rooms were nice and clean. Bed is comfortable. As it is very close to nature, so naturally there are insects around (not in the room). Just remember to bring insect repellents or mosquitoes patches.

Horse riding is available and i definitely recommend trainer Bonnie! She is very clear in her instructions and friendly. Jungle trail was so fun!

Had chicken chop and bolognese spaghetti for lunch and they taste great.

Will definitely come back again and i hope more people find out about this place!

I went to Riders Resort for their Safari Carnival. That is very enjoyable, the first time I ride on horse. The environment and staff are very welcoming. I stay one night with family, the room is clean and comfortable. The restaurant is giving some fix menu at that day, but the food are nice and meet my taste.

This is a wonderful place to escape to if you'd like a change of scenery from the usual hustle and bustle of city life. It's very laid back and far from civilisation. Furthermore, my friend and I are equestrians so this was a perfect getaway.

Service: Topnotch, friendly, and attentive staff. They're really nice and willing to answer your queries. They're polite too and would greet you whenever they see you.

Ambience: It has an old style countryside feel. It's homey, family-friendly, and laid back. It's a good place to take a step back and unwind. It can get quite noisy at night with the crickets and lizard sounds but honestly, it's to be expected since it's nature all round.

Rooms: Spacious and clean. It's a little dated but it isn't too bad. We had the room facing the stables so it was wonderful to wake up and see the horses walking around the arena. The toilet is clean and the shower pressure is great. There's a sofa too which is big enough to sleep 1 person.

Food: I find their food really delicious and the portion is very generous. We definitely enjoyed our meals.

Amenities: As far as I know, they only have 2 pools. Both are pretty small. It's more for wading rather than swimming.

Stables: Not the best but it is pretty decent. The horses are mainly OTTBs and quite old but I think they're well taken care of. Their coats are still nice, and for their age, they don't look too bad. Their horses are so sweet and lovely. We tremendously enjoyed our time with them. You can purchase a bag of carrots for RM5 at the reception. We bought 3 bags each day we stayed there. 3 bags was enough to feed all the horses but it doesn't hurt to buy and give those lovely large grass puppies more. They're truly a gem and they deserve all the carrots and treats. Since my friend and I have experience with horses, the grooms were nice enough to let us tack and untack our horses ourselves. The grooms are really friendly too. We took the 90 mins jungle trail ride, and we enjoyed it a lot, but I think both our horses were tired towards the end given their age (born in 1997 and 1999). I think if we ride again with them and we get an older horse, we will dismount towards the end of the trail and lead the horses back to the stables. No biggie for us - horses' welfare is just as important as humans'. The groom who followed us was a really good photographer too (shoutout to Ayie) and he was proactive in taking our photos/videos.

Do note tho that Grab can bring you to the resort but it doesn't operate in that city so you can't book a Grab back to JB city. We arranged transport with the hotel, which cost us RM170 one-way. The good thing is the car is big and spacious, and the driver was friendly.

Overall, we truly enjoyed our time there and have decided to go back often. It's a nice break and spending time with the horses was the icing to the cake.

Really such a gem 2-hr drive from Singapore - a super hidden, tranquil vacation place. You will need a car to get there but once you’re there, it’s so peaceful and lovely! Surprisingly surpassed our expectations for a 3-star hotel - spacious and clean rooms, delicious food, and great service staff. They’ve even got 2 pools. We stayed 3D2N for the horse camp and really loved it! For camp, all meals were taken care of and it was legit 2-course meals. The horses are well fed, clean, and taken care of. The trainers were fun and educational. The jungle ride was so beautiful amongst the palm trees. Highly recommend and would come back for a consistent weekend getaway !

I came here for a 3D2N staycation... with a horse. Hahaha!! I know, people sometimes travel with dogs and cats but how many resorts and places will have accomodation and facilities to house a horse! This was a trip that was planned a long time in advance with specific requests and arrangements, but everything was met without problems. One thing you need to aware of, is that they are extremely busy and in demand during school holiday periods, so please be patient with them, even if you need to make a follow up. It's not a great big commercial hotel, it is a small and humble family-owned business. They are really very busy, and it is a small, compact crew doing their very very best. The stable fees are on the high side - actually the most expensive stabling charges I have ever encountered, but the stablehands were all very helpful and kind, and very happy to help accommodate our needs. Even though I prefer to be hands on and do my own stable chores, the service is there if you require it. Special mention to abang Rosli and Bonnie, who were really superb. Riding here is really a joy, the paddocks are well maintained with good footing. Being in the middle of a golf course with no distractions, my horse was calm and focused. They have about 20 of their own horses and ponies, and they do organise horseriding camps and trail riding excursions for more experienced equestrians. The crew up at the house were also lovely. Such warm and friendly staff. If they are not busy, the restaurant closes at 5pm. However they will remain open for you if you inform them you'd like to have dinner at the resort. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy. The entire property is just a really wonderful place to be at. It is a real charm to it, and being on the same property as the horses is really special. Am definitely looking forward to a repeat trip. Good job to everyone for making our holiday such a memorable one.

Rode a motorcycle here from Singapore for breakfast and was told to get out. "Today other people had booked the restaurant for breakfast". Quite a surprise as I had checked the google maps and their own web site that the restaurant was open. They refused to serve me anything and apparently the situation was my own fault as I should have called them in advance to check if the restaurant was truly open for customers.
I wish the Service star rating would start from -5 as giving them 1 is way too much.
