I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a thrilling adventure with Outback Venture, and I can't help but share my positive experience, with a special shoutout to Daisy, who truly went above and beyond and Martin for his flexible and easy going attitude driving us safely to and fro.

From the initial planning stages to the actual day of our Mount Kinabalu climb, Daisy's answered all my questions, providing detailed information and ensuring that I felt confident and excited about the upcoming adventure.

On the day of our climb, we encountered a slight delay, making us tardy for the driver's pick-up. However, the driver Martin, understanding the situation, exhibited remarkable patience. Instead of rushing us, he allowed us the time to grab a cup of coffee, contributing to a stress-free and enjoyable start to our adventure.

The entire experience with Outback Venture was seamless, thanks in no small part to the exceptional service provided by Daisy and the accommodating nature of the Martin.

I highly recommend travelling in Borneo with Outback Venture. I did two tours with them: Mount Kinabalu climb (with Via Ferrata) and a private tour of Kundasang and Ranau. Both tours were seamlessly organised, with managers being very helpful in providing all the information I required to make decisions about my itinerary, and making all the tour arrangements very easy for me. I had an amazing experience in both tours. My mountain guide Maikin was extremely encouraging and friendly: I wouldn’t have made it without him, as he helped me plan my best timing to make it right in time for the summit to beat the crowds, and for my via ferrata activity. My guide for the Kundasang trip, Jean, went out and beyond to accommodate to my travel preferences, and thanks to to her I saw lots of amazing places and I even managed to catch rafflesia blooming! These two trips banked me so many wonderful memories to cherish! Thank you, Outback Venture team, and till next travels!

Daisy assisted us from the beginning till the very end. When we checked 5 weeks ago, there were only a slot left and after enquiring, we managed to secure 2 slots but my friend was pending his leave approval. Daisy kindly hold on to the reservation and did not pressure us to make a deposit or anything.

Eventually, we confirmed the trip and we got the itinerary for our 2D1N Mount Kinabalu via Ferrata before the trip. It was well coordinated, driver arranged was on time, we had a guide who looked out for us throughout and he paced us well to ensure we reach the summit on time and get down for via ferrata route before cut off time. We had a great time and will definitely recommend friends to book through Outback Venture. Million thanks, Daisy!

My husband and I took the 2 night primate tour in Sandakan with Outback Ventures for our honeymoon. Everything, from our initial interaction with our travel agent Daisy, who was incredibly flexible and accommodating, to the 2 magical days spent touring the wetlands with our knowledgeable and friendly guide Omar, was absolutely perfect. me and my boyfriend climbed Kinabalu 2D1N with outback end of july and everything was just perfect! communication was very fast (special thanks to Daisy for answering all the questions and being very accommodating) and knowledgable, there were no hiccups with pick up and tour itself - car ride to the park, accomodation and meals were very well and efficiently organised.. our guide on Kinabalu Joe was very relaxed and let us do our own thing at our pace without rushing, but still setting a good pace to arrive to the summit in time for the sunrise..

On the way down from the summit we chose via Ferrata option and although more challenging than regular descend (my legs hurt for couple days afterwards), it was a lot of fun and excitement to go down very steep sheer rock face, cross flimsy looking bridges and go through mini jungle. you need to be in semi good physical shape (or just take your time) and preferably not scared of heights:) we got a separate guide for this activity and at no point felt unsafe.. excellent addition to the climb!

all in all, i enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend the activity itself and Outback in particular to facilitate it.. thank you very much!!

I did the Mount Kinabalu 2D1N via ferrata trek with Outback Ventures and I had the experience of my life. From the very beginning, they were very responsive and were willing to help me throughout the process even when I had cancelled flights and other issues.
I should extend a special thanks to my guide Sylvester who was really professional and interacted with me to understand my exact needs and wants throughout the trek. He gave me enough freedom and also on the other hand took good care of me.
