Queue to enter VEP installation centre stretched out about 50-100m at 820am on 30/9 Sunday. Best to drive slowly as u reached and join the last SG car in the queue otherwise u need to make a u turn in a 2 way carriage lane.

At 9am queue moves but stuck once inside and installation is slow. Got queue 26 and complete installation in 45 mins.

The process is fast if you get ready with the hardcopy of the passport, receipt and confirmation appointment slip. The lunch hour is till 2pm.
The nearest photocopy shop is KC printing.
The staff is friendly.
After stick the tag on the car mirror. Need take a photo of the car with tag and upload to the portal. The photo size must not exceed 1.5MB. (If using iPhone to take, the size is big, can reduce by sending the photo via WhatsApp. Then save the photo again.)

VEP Tag installation and testing. Fast and smooth. Weekday Friday appointment at 10am. Arrived at 0930am. Done within 15mins. Get ready documents such as photocopies of appointment slip, passport, and payment slip. Follow SG Vehicle Q and staff instructions on the process. Thereafter, self uploading fitment photo online and wait for activation.

Sharing my experience to this JPJ Academy on 27 Oct 2024. There is only one single path leading to this place, arrived at 3.30pm turning in from Jalan Tun Abdul Razak (this is where the queue starts) with about 50 cars in front of me and it don't matter if you have an appointment (which I had and already paid online) because you can only follow the car queue to enter JPJ Academy. It took almost 2 hours (5.30pm) before it was my turn. Just make sure you have printed all your necessary documents (Tag appointment slip, payment receipt, copy NRIC, confirmation slip) because a lot of held up is cause by people with no appointments, no print outs, no payments done prior etc. Once it was my turn (with all necessary documents), installation took 5 minutes and done! Efficiency 5/5 and Waiting time 0/5 so average 3/5.

Just a few more days to 1 Oct deadline. For those coming to this centre to get the VEP RFID installed, come early; it’s first come first serve. Starts from 9 AM. Most of the wait time was queuing to drive into the compound. The 2 most important hardcopies you must have .. acknowledgement email (with the BARCODE) AND your passport or NRIC. Those without a copy of the passport or NRIC face some difficulties & delay. No photocopying service is available. For me, waiting time to get processed & obtain the RFID was about less than 5 mins. Staff were friendly & helpful. Actual installation was quick, maybe just a few minutes.
Once installed, you need to take a photo (front of car) with number plate & the installed RFID on the inside of the windscreen. Last step is to get it validated. You need to log into the VEP site, input the serial number & upload the photo. Hint: photo uploaded must be < 1.5 mb. So, you can send photo via WhatsApp, view & save it. I received the successful activation e-mail within an hour. Good luck !! See instructions attached.

1 of the 2 newly added VEP collection and installation centres, address was hard to find initially, but experience was great, very fast and very efficient, entered at 2.05pm after lunch, left at 2.25pm, open on Sundays!

Enter from Jalan Abdul Razak, don’t turn in from Jalan Abad, it will be hard if a queue starts forming.

Fantastic place! Solved all my pains, worries & fears! This plc is nearest town towards the end of Jln Dato Sulaiman or former Holiday Inn!
Plc is super organised managed also by TcSen, it took me only about half hr to settle all my woes yesterday on the 30/9 the eve of the great Reprieve at ar 2pm if u get all the docs correct, yr password correct for VEP portal!
People there were kind n understanding, I noticed they helped elderly managed their hand phones & gave them hope &?encouragements!
The person in charged managed the place well, first, they checked docs as u enter, nxt the issuing of tags, then the pasting of tags & testing, the uploading of tag no & pic of yr car, for those not good on computer or HP, they will do for u if u ask the manager for help! All in all whole process took half an hr. No sweat n tears! Or as others put it, strike a Lottery!
Next day, rcvd the good news! My Car VEP is activated! Thks APjws or Jpj Academy for the work well done!!
