🏞️ Day 1｜觀光 + 美食滿點行程

👍有傳統烤肉、葉子飯可以品嚐，還能到 DESA 奶牛牧場和傳統市集逛逛～

😛中餐自理，司機帶我們去Puteri Nabalu餐廳自行點餐付費，口味評價比較兩極，個人建議不要點跟魚有關的…
下午約 3～4 點抵達 Office Park 辦理資料填寫與 check in。

⛈️有點可惜的是抵達時剛好遇到大雨☔️，沒能去神山植物園走走。
😋餐廳的早晚餐都是 buffet，自助式菜色超豐盛、好吃到罪惡🤣
👍服務員收桌速度也神快👍 早餐更是奢華：現煮 Laksa、歐姆蛋、拉茶通通有～
上山前這樣吃真的太邪惡，感覺隔天要多背 3 公斤體重上山😅

🥾 Day 2｜見到山導 Freendy跟上山

✨第二天和 guide 見面（只能用英文溝通），雖然只是小學程度英文，但靠著比手畫腳也能順利交流😆很親切、有問必答，整體氣氛輕鬆不緊張～

✨行動糧還蠻豐盛+高熱量的（三明治、水煮蛋2顆、士力架巧克力、oreo 餅乾 、香蕉），基本上可以不用帶太多零食上山了👍

✨大約4-5k有很多豬籠草可以欣賞。

抵達山屋後，guide會告知接下來自由活動時間，隔天早上2:30才會再來接我們上山。

✨山屋人員會提供熱毛巾擦手跟一小杯熱茶很貼心，房間4:00後才有供電可以使用。被子是毛毯，怕冷的話要多準備一件外套。

✨有限定名信片可以寫跟寄～RM4+RM1郵票。
✨晚上有很多星星可以欣賞（睡不著的話啦）

⛰️ Day 3｜登頂日

🍊登頂是否開放會在前一晚 10 點至凌晨間決定。若遇下雨山路會非常濕滑難走，可以理解為什麼要封頂了，因為滾下去可能一路往下好幾米了😱，也務必準備 3M 止滑手套抓繩子才夠力。
❤️我的 guide Freendy 非常細心，總會提前提醒「這裡會滑」，在比較危險的地段也都會主動協助，讓人感覺超安心💪

We had an amazing 3D2N trip to Mount Kinabalu, all thanks to the Borneo Calling excellent arrangements. From start to finish, everything was smooth and well-coordinated. La experiencia del tour de 3D2N por el río Kinabatangan:
- Alojamiento: Muy bueno.

- Comida: Muy bueno y gran cantidad.

- Staff y guías: Súper buenos! 🔝

- Excursiones incluidas:
- River cruise: Me han parecido buenas ya que ves bastantes animales únicos. Lo malo es que tiene un peso muy importante el factor suerte ya que son animales salvajes totalmente, no les llaman la atención ni con comida ni nada para que se acerquen (lo cual se agradece).

- Jungle trekking: Muy flojo. Esperábamos una gran caminata por la jungla pero fue muy corta, solo por los alrededores del refugio. Esperábamos más.

- Excursiones no incluidas:
- River cruise nocturno.
- Caminata nocturna (para ver insectos y bichos).
- Excursión a la zona de elefantes.

- Precio: Elevado (para las pocas excursiones que incluye). Creo que para el tiempo que pasas allí, se podrían exprimir mejor los días, incluyendo las actividades de pago extra en el precio, ya se paga suficiente.

Lo único que echamos de menos es hacer más excursiones ya que teníamos demasiadas horas muertas, que nos gustaría haber aprovechado más. Y obviamente, que estuvieran incluidas en el precio del paquete.

Borneo Calling was very responsive with the questions and booking process before the trip. The transfer from hotel to Kinabalu Park HQ the morning of the climb was very smooth.

Nordin, our tour guide with 26 years of experience, was very knowledgeable and professional. Allowed us to go at our own pace, and was always right behind us, watching out for our safety.

Would advise to only do the Via Ferrata Low’s Peak if you are very fit and do not intend to spend much time on the summit for photos etc (note that there is a queue to reach the summit to take photos as it is a small area). Would be good to have altitude sickness pills too.

The post-climb meal and transfer back to our accommodation was very smooth too.

I had an amazing experience with the Borneo Calling Team—huge thanks to our guide Nickles and porter Saz! Nickles kept us motivated with helpful hiking tips and plenty of laughs, making the trek fun and memorable.

Honestly, I was really hoping to make it to the summit. But when I heard the wind and rain around 11am at Laban Rata, my hope started to fade, even though I kept trying to stay positive. Then at 2:30am, Nickles knocked on our door and simply said, “Jom!” and that was all the motivation I needed. It felt like Mount Kinabalu chose us.

We had an incredible experience climbing the mountain, thanks to the amazing team behind the trip!

First of all, a huge shoutout to our guide Nick, who was excellent from day one. He made sure we were well taken care of and provided a detailed explanation of what to expect throughout the climb, which really helped us prepare mentally and physically.

We also want to especially thank Kunan, our mountain guide, who was truly the best. He went above and beyond to support one of our less fit friends and ensured they made it to the end safely. We feel bad that we didn’t get a chance to take a photo with him or thank him in person—he really made a difference in our journey.

The whole arrangement was seamless—from start to finish, everything ran smoothly and was very well-organized.

Accommodation-wise, we were pleasantly surprised. All were comfortable, but the Laban Rata Resthouse stood out—it was warm enough inside the rooms, which made for a much better rest after a long hike.

The food at Laban Rata was also great. Although I didn’t have much appetite and didn’t eat a lot, my friends really enjoyed the meals and ate heartily!

Overall, it was a well-run and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

6 of us had a fantastic 3D2N trip to M.Kinabalu, expertly organized by Borneo Calling. From the moment we were picked up at the airport to our return to Kota Kinabalu, every detail was handled seamlessly. The accommodation was comfortable and well-arranged, accompanied by two excellent mountain guides who provided timely updates and unwavering support throughout our climb.
