95% of the ropes dah takde. maka leklok lah ya naik turun tu. untuk kaki pendek macam saya, bawalah tongkat or pergilah dengan orang yang lebih besar. sebab struggle juga nak melangkah kekadang. still a good experience. went on a tuesday morning, so tak ramai orang.

Digalakkan pakai kasut yang tak licin. Jangan naik selepas hujan.

Elok pakai baju lengan panjang untuk elak lalang yang tinggi cederakan tangan.

Tempat parking tanpa bayaran di sediakan. Tak ada tandas.

Berhati-hati semasa berjalan dari tempat parking ke pintu masuk. Selepas pintu masuk ada trek yang berbayar dan tanpa bayar. Pilih trek yang tanpa bayar.

Jangan buang sampah merata-rata dan tolong jaga kebersihan. Bawa plastic sampah untuk kutip sampah kalau terlihat.

The trail was quite challenging as the pathway was not made of ceramic tiles, but was instead very muddy. When we arrived, it had just stopped raining, so the ground was slippery and steep. It’s not suitable for kids. The grass was very long, and many of the handles were broken. There were also a lot of mosquitoes. There are a lot of wild dogs in the parking area.

The two way trail is about 5KM. Lush green and plenty of shade. It has sunrise view points. Good time to reach there is not later than 8am so that you can come back by 10am as the trail takes about 2hrs.

Great for MPKj for doing this free for all parking and trail because the people from the kebun has been charging people a ridiculous fee for
1. Parking (per head not per car)
2. The entrance which is not much easier.

There is also manipulation made by the people there where they put fake signage to discourage people from using the MPKj trails.

MPKj trail Vs Kebun trail
- Not much difference in difficulty
- MPKj trail straight to 2nd peak but I think they're opening for 1st peak soon. Kebun entrance is going to peak 1.

- Personally, I think MPKj trail is faster to the peak. But be wary of the besi. They're supposed to hold rope to guide you but we suspect it's being tampered . Will be forwarding to MPKj for further safety action.
- Kebun people like to sabotage the MPKj trail (seems like the ropes..) and discourage people using the route with fake signs like tanah runtuh when there is none. All in the name of money.

How to use the MPKj route
From the Welcome to Broga Hill gerbang, you go straight only. There is one entrance to the kebun on the left. Only go if you don't mind paying the RM5. Else, just straight on and don't pay attention to any signs like tanah runtuh etc. That's not the signs from MPKj.

Because of my roommate's words... we woke up early today and drove to Broga Hill in Semenyih 🏔️... We departed from PJ at 6:40 am and arrived around 7:40 am, but we took a wrong turn along the way 😅, so we got there a bit later 😂.

🅿️ There are two types of parking spaces (paid | free).

The paid parking is inside an oil palm plantation, while the free parking is outside some factory (many people park there too) ... You can search for "Broga Hill Free Parking Free Trail" on Waze/Google to find the free parking area.

⚠️ Note: The road from the free parking area to the entrance is quite steep. I was already out of breath just walking from the parking area to the entrance 😂.

🚪 There are also two entrances

One free and one with a fee (RM5). Anty said the paid one is easier to navigate and shorter in distance... Given the choice, of course, I chose the easier route 😂 (I still wanted to reach the summit).

🏔️ The trail is quite tiring.

Even though Anty said the paid route is easier, I still found it challenging and strenuous 😩 (because I'm not very physically active)... I had to take four breaks along the way, and I even took some pictures of my resting spots (pictures 15-18)... After resting four times, I mustered up the strength and climbed to the top in one go 💪🏻.

🏔️ Successful summiting!

It took me a little over an hour (blame it on my numerous breaks 😅), but I finally reached one of the peaks 😱... There are three peaks here, and if you have the energy, you can continue to climb, but I didn't 😂... The view from the peak I reached was really beautiful... I think it was worth it 👍🏻.

Hiking trail review (Bukit Broga)

This is a must visit attraction hill around KL with beutifull scenary on the top and interconnected from Broga Hill-Mountain Tok Wan-Peak 18 (Mountain Hulu Beranang).

Maximum Elevation : 400m
Total Distance : 5km
Total Hiking Time : 3 to 5 Hour
Car Park : Free of charge
Hiking Fee : Free of charge
Permit : RM5/Pax - Early payment at pejabat perhutanan daerah selangor tengah, cheras.
Toilet : Yes (rm1/pax)
Guide : Not really needed due to many hikers on the weekend, came at 7am and just follow everybody else and dont shy to ask for direction.

Note :
1) You will be charge rm5/pax even if you only decent using old trail.
2) Using new trail here, you will direct to 2nd peak/ 2nd viewing point.
3) Continued on the right (at 2nd peak) for 500m to the last peak.

The condition of the hill is just pitiful. These photos were taken at 6:30am, along the 'free trail prepared by the government'. However the trail is not well maintained AT ALL, it was muddy, slippery, steep & dangerous for beginners. Metal poles were set up along the way to guide hikers but it was super rusted. None the less good for training, just remember to wear proper hiking shoes and hiking stick is a must.
So the part I think I've been tricked about this hike is the difficulty vs cost. If you pay RM5 to the aunty sitting there (which she sat right in between the junction of both paths making me almost miss the free trail), you can go to the super easy, chill, walkable 'beginner' trail. If you take the free but dangerous route, i would rate it as 7/10 difficult. So please everyone who's planning to go there, plan & prepare wisely 😊🙏🏻
