First time pegi tmpt camni bwak anak kcik sb nak pegi ala2 beach ,mmng best sangat2 , plih bilik junior suite twin sebab nak ade bathtub je ,view mnghadap laut & pool adult + budak , makan sarapan pagi pon best ,layanan staf pon ok cuma dapat manager perempuan tme 26/12/24 dinner tme tu kurang sopan sikit , ade ke brckp dngn customer sambil tengok3 belek2 kuku , rude much , overal 4.9% , 1% kurg sebab staff tu je 🙃

We recently stayed at Damai Lagoon Resort for a family holiday, revisiting the area where we had previously enjoyed time at its sister property, Damai Beach Resort. The location is truly serene, with stunning views of Mount Santubong and the South China Sea—perfect for a peaceful retreat.||Our arrival experience was mixed. The Coconut Bar was poorly stocked, the main lobby bar closed early (5 PM), and the Horizon Restaurant was unable to provide basic beverages like fruit juice for our child. Additionally, our Junior Family Suite, which was booked with a partial sea view, instead faced the children’s pool. We were also told beach access would be suitable for elderly guests with limited mobility, but found only steep stairs and a large step down to the sand.||However, the resort management team went above and beyond to turn things around. We were upgraded to a sea-facing suite by the resort manager, allowing our elderly parents to enjoy the ocean breeze from the comfort of their balcony. The Recreational Manager arranged a private mangrove and dolphin boat tour with an excellent guide upon learning of our boat trip —we were lucky enough to spot crocodiles and dolphins. The Food & Beverage Manager also ensured we had sandwich packs for our excursion and even arranged in-room breakfast for our elderly parents who were unable to go down to breakfast un-assisted, due to our early boat trip departure.||Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently friendly, polite, and accommodating. The rooms were well-maintained, and any issues were promptly resolved by the maintenance team.||The only notable drawback is the limited food and beverage options. There are few nearby restaurants, and the resort’s own dining menu is quite restricted, with no cocktail offerings. The Coconut Bar, while charming, offers a very limited selection and NO cocktails, which is untypical of a pool-side bar.||Overall, Damai Lagoon Resort delivered a memorable and relaxing experience, thanks largely to the exceptional service and tranquil setting. Ideal for those seeking a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. While several reviews have commented on the resort not meeting their expectations of a 5 star rating, the staff more than provided 5 star service.

The view that welcomes us at the reception area was breath taking . Welcome drinks were also provided. The room given to us had amazing views of the beautiful sea and majestic views of mount santubong along with the kids pool which was enticing for my 5 year old. The only thing I would like to feedback is the dust under the bed. Pillows and bed were super comfortable ! Wifi connection is strong and TV have lots of channels. |There is also a convenience store that sells necessities and souviners. ||Horizon restraurant did not disappoint. Had our dinner there and everything was super tasty . Breakfast spread was amazing. There was alot of choices of indian/local/chinese/malay & western food. What we loved is that there is even a cute kids corner where pretty cupcskes, croissant, pancakes were displayed just for the kids. How thoughtful !||Pool was nice and warm . The slide was definitely a hit for the kids. There is even a small playground . ||We were the on a weekday in July. Were suprised that resort felt empty and vacant. There was w day where the whole dinner area had noone at all except for us| |Beach had crystal clear water . After we left, someone from the village told us there are crocs hanging around so do be careful when taking a dip! ||Overall perfect for a family getaway . They even have activites at certain timing for the kids .

Staff is friendly & helpful. room is clean & spacious, ours is connecting room as it is the family type. Location is good for those who seek for tranquility, about half hour from Kuching city. clean beach just adjacent to the resort & free from sand fly at this time of the year. sunset view is spectacular. my kids love the pool with water slide as well mini playground nearby.. complimentary breakfast menu is accepted but not on par as 5 star resort as i expected with wide variety of option. Damai Central about 10 minutes walk. there's a bird nest & droppings on building need to taken care of as this is an eye sore & lead to bio-hazard. overall stay is good
