Be prepared for a very difficult trek if you want to attempt this. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into and were extremely unprepared - without sufficient water, mosquito repellent, good footwear or snacks. We almost turned around 4-5 times but thankfully were able to make it to the viewpoint in 3.5 hours and down in 2. Time it to be back at least 2 hours before sunset, since the jungle gets darker quicker. You will be in thick, dense jungle in high humidity, with very steep and slippery inclines, sharp rocks, spiky branches, insects biting you. Bring at least 2 litres of water each. Don't go if it's going to rain. It does require a decent fitness level and upper body strength to climb up using the ropes. We couldn't find the entrance (I took a photo of it for your reference) and the man who showed us told us that a lot of people go missing or need to be rescued while attempting to climb up. There are 3 checkpoints along the way. Saying all of that, it was definitely an amazing experience and felt like a great accomplishment once we got to the top! We don't regret doing it but would not do it again any time soon :D! Good luck!

Indeed a challenging track that can be done alone in 3 hours return. Bring plenty of water and some snacks. I usually don’t drink that much, but here i was glad i had brought 2,5l.
You can find all the details on the App AllTrails, but here on google also everything is correct. The entrance is a different posting.
Dont miss out on the view point that comes before the peak. It comes 5 minutes earlier and is also marked, but can easily be missed. Overall very rewarding hike with some action.

Kann mich den anderen Rückmeldungen anschliessen. Tolle Aussicht auf dem Gipfel aber die Wanderung hat es in sich, sehr anstrengend. Gute Schuhe, viel Wasser und Mückenspray sind ein muss.
Ich habe die Wanderung alleine gemacht, würde das aus Sicherheitsgründen aber nicht empfehlen.
Brauchte 1.5h auf den Gipfel und nochmals knapp 1.5h herunter.
Den Eingang habe ich dank den bisherigen Kommentaren und nach kurzem Suchen gefunden.

Very nice trek with a great viewpoint 2 minutes before the summit. Its hot and steep but not too long, it took us 1h40 to get to the top. It’s better to have good shoes. Enjoy!

Great trek with a superb view at the top. Takes around 1h 30 up, and similar down. The entrance is a little hard to find as it goes right in the bush but it is down the road a bit to the right from the alltrails starting location. Very easy trail to follow as there are trail markers and trees being numbered on the way up.

Really good view of kuah and the southern langkawi islets. Trailhead path is poorly marked but ths trail is marked quite well with red ribbons. Some parts were a bit confusing but keep following the ribbons and you will be fine. Lota of mossies and towards the end, granite boulders to scramble up to the top. Several spots with rope assist. Will be slippery on rainy days. The view is very worth the trek up.

Hiking with MRSM Langkawi group few years back. Breathtaking view at the top. we continue down to the beach and have relaxing lunch at secluded bay. we then ferried back by boat.

Quite a challenging hike and need to scramble over some boulders. So proper signs so it’s better to do this hike in the morning/broad day light and with friends. Do not attempt this hike if it’s raining or without proper shoes.
