Came back after 6 years just to do the via ferrata. The drawback, it is only 50 meters long. But of course with the awesome view from the top where you can see LunaMaya resort & from far far away, fuzzy view of Mersing town. Took us 2 hours to reach the starting point of via ferrata activity. Our ‘oppa’ guide, Zhafri is well-mannered n descriptive. Btw Sri Sentosa Chalet where we were staying is Zhafri’s family owned bussiness. The chalets are clean n well-kept.

Side note : Kedai Roti Canai & Nasi Lemak next to padang sekolah Kg Mukut is da bom! Don’t forget mandi Waterfall Asah. Walking distance, 20-25 mins only.

The entrance of the Dragon horns is guard by the founder of the trail who open the trek in year 2007. He also open the Ferata trail to bring adventure hiker up to the top of the mountain. Actually the trek is clearly marked and hardly you will get lost. I believe is the hard work of people here with good maintenance. In order to protect the forest and ensure villagers able to earn for living, you will need a guide to bring you up there. The cost including entrance fee and guide fare.

It’s moderate hike. We pay for RM120/pax for CP01-CP09 normal trail. We are slow hiker, it took us 4hrs 30mins to complete it for return trip.

For hiker who taking Ferata trail, all the way up using the same route from CP01-09, extra stop CP09-10 using safety gear harness, which cost you RM180 in total. Require extra 30-45mins.

There is another wall climbing trail is more adventurous and we don’t have much information on it.

If you dunno how to get a guide you may ask the chalet/resort that you booked with. They will able to provide you contact to arrange.

Went to hike on 23/9/22. Intermediate level for those that usually hiking. Loves the scenery at the top. Makes it worth all the sweats and pain hahahaha

Trail are very clear and with check point label. Very clean and take care by the guides 👏👏👏.
Final have a super b view at the last 3 CP . Roughly use 2-2 1/2 hours to reach peak.

been here around October 2020. Such a beautiful place and good to be here. gain new experience and calm environment, perfect for someone whos trying to getout a while from city life. to get here, first u need to get to Tekek Jetty from mainland. then, wait for the boat that would heading to Kg Mukut / Kg Semukut. Do not worry, the villagers of Tioman Island are super friendly and they would help you if you want to get the direction.

At Kg Semukut, theres some chalet and also restaurant by the sea. From Kg Semukut, It would take around 4 to 3 hours to get to the Nenek Semukut Mountain. the trail is kinda established and its quite a challenging trail. but the view from the top totally worth the challenges.
