I put up at this hotel on the 16th November for a night during a short family trip to KL and PJ area. From first impressions the hotel looked worn and old but still had a veneer of respectability to it. Car park wise was adequate but not more than that being unsheltered. Reception wise was prompt and polite so no complaints there.
Food wise I was there only for breakfast but it was above average. However now comes the bad part. Elevator doors don't stay open when you try to hold the doors open for other guests. So be quick to avoid getting trapped by the elevator doors. Corridor carpeting appeared worn out and had that old stale wet dog smell. Not an issue since the rooms were clean. Unfortunately the hot water did not work, and air conditioning seems to be having the condensation dripping directly into the bathroom from the ceiling. I'm not too sure if Singgahsana hotel management was going for a cheapo version of a waterfall shower system but suffice to say I was not the slightest bit impressed. Constant dripping ceiling and wet bathroom floors with a possibility of falling ceiling due to water buildup was a real danger staying in this hotel. Also the hotel management has a "wonderful" (aka bullshit) policy concerning the fauna of PJ. You get live mosquitos for no extra charge in your room. Oh and of course your friendly hotel maintenance guy comes with a ladder to check your air cond over and your pipes when you need them, but being Malaysian true to form and spirit, they'll tell you in a mesra manner , so sorry nothing can be done and hope it gets better tomorrow. Remember that veneer of respectability I mentioned before? Well all gone by now. A change of rooms was not possible due to full booking. But a check with my fellow travellers confirmed the same sorry state of affairs at their rooms too. I hate to say this , but this hotel truly sucks literally and figuratively. If you are looking for a budget hotel in the PJ area, don't stay here. Even other hotels are dodgy , at least they are comfortable and you might get lucky with a hot hooker to keep you company. Here, you get the budget but no hot hooker. Unless you're into the whole Afghanistan-Libya hotel experience where less is always more .

Now, Hotel Singgahsana are already closed for renovation, but I didn't know this Singgahsana's Hotel are already change the name or still same name.
