The hotel lobby is big and beautiful. The room need upgrade. The breakfast is just simple breakfast, not recommend to add on. They have promotion for lunch buffet (rm10 for adults and rm5 for children). You get what you paid. The swimming pool is big but the kids pool is close.

Old hotel with old facilities, i hate the toilet bowl, i feel uneasy the moment i start flushing the toilet. The staff are not that friendly. The only thing i’m satisfied is the hotel’s location is near to Pasar Malam.

Very Bad Service for High Tea.

Indah kabar dari rupa. Even the ventilation of the event hall is not properly ventilated with an old mouldy unused space scent.

for the desert, we have to asked for change of choclate dressing since it is full with ants.

the mushroom set with bread, the bread is not ready even till 2hours after event have to ask for the payment to be refunded and changed into another menu.

Most of the menu is not available for additional purchase. it is just like a run down hotel. Being informed there is no ingredients available in the kitchen.

Hopefully the management can take serious consideration in upgrading the service of the HOTEL as it is one of the oldest hotel in Bintulu. All the former glory just flushed down the drain.

The staff at the front desk is helpful. However, there were a few issues with the room and other facilities. Looking at the leaking ceiling along the corridor on the 5th floor, I decided to lower my expectation for my stay before entering the room. The small fridge is broken, the laminated floor is not in good condition (the cover between the tile floor and laminated floor come off easily), shower organizer is gone, only leftover holes were left for the place l believed to be towel bar, there is no hot water (not even warm), the water is murky at first, the kid pool is under maintenance with dusty/stained/dirty notice (may be down for quite some time) and the water in adult pool looks dirty, etc. Not recommended for family stay.

Wash Basin water flow is terribly small, my urine flows more stronuger and checked in 21:00 hours no hot water to shower.

The hotel has been refurbished and the room size is spacious with wood flooring. Unfortunately no wifi is available. The kid's pool and adult pool is at roof top (level 8) and gym at level 7. The pool has trash in it. The view from the pool is stunning especially during sunset. Shower room is not functioning well but not that bad. The underground parking is limited and has around 20 parking spaces but it is a bit dark. Need to put a signage to hotel lobby at the stairs. Many entrance to the hotels are closed eventhough it is near to the surrounding shops.

Recently renovated hotel. Not sure if interchangeable with Margherita Plaza Bintulu. The hotel is rather old and you can definitely tell. My room was not the best. I didn't like that the room lights were so dim and the hallways were not air conditioned. The lift was also rather dark and creepy. Not many hotel guests. Receptionists were polite and nice but took a long time to answer my initial phone call to book the rooms.

I personally would not recommend it for the location. It's located in a rather old and shady district of Bintulu. Lots of older shoplots nearby and the neighbourhood is a bit rough around the edges. Does not feel that safe for solo travelers. Most guests here are men working in oil and gas. However, the morning breakfast is quite good and the workers were friendly. But I did not receive any housekeeping service or extra water/toiletries even for a 3 day 2 night stay.

Also, my room on level 6 was probably haunted. Nothing severely dangerous but definitely some little spooky moments like the TV turning on by itself. Probably just a lonely or cheeky spirit. 😢 But if you are a brave person with strong spirituality, you should be okay...biasalah, hotel lama, kan?

Anyway, I can't honestly recommend this place for its rooms. You can see the condition of my room is kind of run-down and the cleanliness is not ideal. Floors were a bit sticky and I had to unclog a cigarette from my sink. Overall, they should work harder to improve the guest experience.
