Beautiful venue but very disappointing wedding dinner & accommodation (30/09/2025)

The seaside view is lovely, but our wedding experience was heartbreaking.

Food shortage: We had over 200 guests and almost every table said the food was not enough. Before booking, we were promised the dome set could be refilled anytime, but on the day staff said “only one refill,” and many tables didn’t even get that. Some guests left hungry, went out to buy food, and a few even returned to the restaurant to order.Food quality was also disappointing — especially the chicken, which was so tough.

Poor service: Not enough staff, drinks self-served, requests ignored. When someone asked for forks, they were told to “just use your hands. The person in charge was rude, avoided the issue, changed the topic and walked away.

Rooms disappointing: on 30 September We booked all rooms for family and friends but several were dirty, old and poorly maintained — broken lights, unclean floors, not worth the price.

We paid a premium (about RM170 per person after sst for dinner) expecting quality and dignity but ended up embarrassed and heartbroken.

We came for the Sunday lunch buffet.. Food was great, but the person carving the roast lamb was a bit stingy - like she was serving school kids and didn't want to waste any.. The place was okay, just a bit warm since the sea breeze was blowing hot air.. Music felt kinda loud... or maybe I'm just getting old..

Would've been nice to have more drink options too - only cold water and tea/ coffee..

Overall, not bad! Still enjoyed it, but there's definitely room to improve..

We had our wedding reception at Langkah Syabas Beach Resort and were happy with the whole experience. Liza and her team were exceptional, ensuring every detail—from the lush floral decor in our transparent marquee to the seamless coordination—was perfect. The venue looked very nice, and the transparent marquee was decorated with leaves and flowers just as we asked.

Even though it was a hot Sunday afternoon, our guests enjoyed the setting, especially the decor, sunset, and view of the sky. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the event.

We stayed in a seaview room overnight—it was clean and neat, though a bit worn. The view was great, and breakfast the next morning had a good mix of options and tasted good. Langkah Syabas is an ideal and affordable venue for a romantic beach wedding and a relaxing getaway.

Very disappointed-overprices & terrible condition

I booked a room here and it was a huge letdown . The price is definitely not worth what you get . The room was old , dirty , smelly , and poor maintained. The bed and bathroom didn’t feel clean at all. For amount I paid , I expected at easy a comfortable and hygienic stay , but it felt neglected and far below basic standards.

Would not recommend staying here . Definitely not worth the money.

This beach resort offers a beautiful tropical escape with stunning views of the sandy beach and breathtaking sunsets. The pool located right in front of our room was definitely a highlight and a major reason to consider this specific room type for your stay. However, we did encounter a few issues during our visit. The beach had some patches of litter, which slightly affected the otherwise scenic setting. Inside the room, we found hair on the bed upon arrival, encountered cockroaches in the bathroom, and noticed a broken faucet along with poor water flow. The bathroom also showed signs of wear, including mold and yellow stains. The mattress was rather stiff and uncomfortable, particularly unsuitable for pregnant guests (my wife had difficulty sleeping because of this). While it’s clear the property is a bit dated, there’s still a lot of charm here, and with some maintenance and cleanliness improvements, it could truly shine.

Stayed here while attending a friend’s wedding. Unfortunately, the room was disappointing — the light bulb was broken, there were cockroaches, and it felt like the room hadn’t been maintained or cleaned properly for a long time.

Resort stupendo, molto curato, pulito e completo di ogni servizio. Personale estremamente gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo soggiornato una notte e, per quanto ci siamo trovati bene, abbiamo allungato il soggiorno di un'altra notte. Consigliatissimo!
