Recommend for couple or small family.
The unit is a studio style.

Pros
- Facing the beach
- All necessities are provided except for water
- Helpful and sharing all the info and contact needed for island hopping
- Near to the town

Cons
- Quite a distance from other attractions so best if you planned to have a gateway and staying in.

Nice unit (the only one, built on a private land), well decorated and comfortable. Good supply of dining ware. Advisable to buy enough daily drinking water from the shops in town as none is supplied in the unit, and sundry shops are far and few in that village area and most are closed after 7.30pm. Several but few local restaurants remain open for dinner in the village area, but will require a car or motorbike to get there. There are two next to the Unit, one opens for local breakfast menu while the other bigger one opens for lunch and dinner (until the call for the Maghrib prayer around 7pm or so)
Note also that there is no heated water shower available. Only cold water is supplied in the Unit. If you cannot stand having sheer cold showers, be well advised!
No swimming pool.
Take note that you will need to cross a main road to get to the beach which is not recommended for picnics etc as it is lined with broken seashells; not a clean pristine beach for bare-foot walks unless you venture further out when the tide is low. At time of visit, tide is usually very low during the day-time, no waves, seawater line is way far out into the yonder; it only comes in with waves late in the evening and into the night. Beach area is very dark at night, plus having to first go thru some wild foliage with exposed tree roots etc, thus really not recommended for night visits.
Overall, highlight of my visit was the experience of stay in the Unit. It is a contrast of accommodation given it is in a traditional Malay village.

A wholesome stay. 💯

The host is so attentive and helpful. He’ll guide you throughout the check-in process and provide you with useful tips about the unit. We’re so delighted to get a complementary local fruits upon check-in.

The unit is so beautiful and you know that it brings different vibes once you laid eyes on it. It feels like it took you somewhere else once you set foot inside it.

The unit is spotless clean and got almost everything you need for your stay. The decorations are highly articulated I must say. Top notch.

The space is ample as it’s well-organized. My personal favourite is the bathroom. The brass touch just elevated everything else. It feels luxurious.

Perks in the area, Thai restaurants are nearby. Your family dinner is sorted.

Last but not least, of course the unit is facing the beach. The wooden deck is a plus point for you to have a chat outside with such a great view.

Highly recommended and definitely will revisit whenever my path will take me back to Mersing.

We had amazing stay here.The villa is well equipped with all our needs.Cozy stay with access to the front beach.Breakfast,lunch,teatime eatery is just next to it and its good too! Host is superhelful and guide us on what to do in Mersing.Feels like home😉
