I stayed on 2 separate nights at Muara Inn Hotel in Mersing Johore. I was on thee way to and from Pulau Tioman. In my request I specifically asked for a non smoking clean room and that was exactly what I got. I was travelling single but I paid for a triple room under my specific request. It is very near to the bus station and Ferry terminal. I am a senior and I had no problem finding my way around. Hotel staff are vey helpful and polite. I did have slight problem getting my luggage up and down the hotel stairs but staff took care of that. There is no elevator and the hotel reception is on the 1st.floor. Ground floor is a boutique. The hotel is a little difficult to find as the hotel sign on the door can be easily missed. The door leading to the upper 1st level is situated between a boutique and a grocery store. However if you walk on the road and look up the hotel signboard is quite visible from the road. Thee room that I occupied on both occasions was room #101 and I paid 118RM per night for it. Room and toilet was very clean, kettle, cups and coffee mixes were provided. I would stay here again in the future.

On the positive side this hotel is not expensive and location is very good if travelling to Tioman island. |It is a short walk from the bus station on one side and near the ferry on the other. |Rooms are OK. Enough space. Air-con and Wi-Fi good. No windows in our room and it felt a bit dull. |Bathroom was alright. Overall not a bad choice for one night given its location.
