My 10-year-old son recently completed his PADI qualification at OrcaNation on Rawa Island, Malaysia, and it was an outstanding experience.

Kaue, his instructor, was instrumental in my son's diving journey. Did 1 refresher dive + 2 fun dives with the OrcaNation team. As the dive sites are pretty close to the beach, they were all shore dives with an average depth of 7-8m. The best spot would be the area under the jetty (spotted a couple of blacktip reef sharks there).

Equipment was well maintained and the dive masters were really professional and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to do a discovery or refresher dive as water conditions are very suitable for beginners.

My son completed his PADI open water diver course and I did refresher dive and further dive, with Kaue . He is an excellent, calm, knowledgeable and patient instructor. We had great dives at Rawa. Barbara was always helpful and supportive. Can’t fault this dive base.

Spent 3 great days scuba diving with OrcaNation. The team was great with all the family, our 9year old was excited for his first BubbleMaker Dive experience while his older brother easily made his PADI license. Saw a huge amount of fish on the reef, and even a sea turtle. Great team, great dive site! .

Lovely peaceful bare-foot experience on Rawa Island with OrcaNation ! Our 13 year old son has just qualified as a Padi Open Water Diver with Millie, his instructor, who is so patient & encouraging. Kaue & Ba are chilled & always smiling, & were sharing their fascinating marine biologist/oceanographer background with us. The shallow waters & very accessible house reef makes this a great place to learn to dive or do a refresher. We'll be back !

We had a few great experiences with Orca at Rawa Island. It was my second time diving there, equipment is of very high quality, dive masters are all very competent (Emma, Millie and Anna) and the house reef is beautiful. Thanks for the safe and fun dives!

My 11 year old son and my youngest brother did their open water with them. They are professional and ensured that my 2 boys were safe during the dive. Safety was their top priority and they ensured all skills were done well. The equipments were all well maintained. They were knowledgeable. The stay at the resort was good. Food was good. The beach is beautiful, water is clean, slide is fun. We had a great holiday. Special thanks to Anna, Alvin, Cindy, Emma and Renske. We will be back.

Such a beautiful island with lovely off-shore diving. I enjoyed 3 fun dives, including a drift and night dive, with the excellent OrcaNation team. Although not the cheapest diving (when compared to other areas in SE Asia) it was wonderful to walk less than 20 meters to the water from the well-equipped Orca Nation base. I think this would be a great place for people to learn to dive, or for those who want refresher or fun dives. OrcaNation also offer kayaking, paddle-board and snorkelling equipment rental (below the jetty is very good for moray eels, rays and a plethora of fish species).
