I’m booking for a family room, the environment was acceptable but the issue was we felt so itchy all over our body after laying down on the bed. We complained to the receptionist and we all agreed to change to a double room due to no other available family room. We forced to shower again because it was too itchy and we don’t think we can make it until the next day if we didn’t shower. Unfortunately, it is still the same!! This bed in the new room is still making us uncomfortably itchy, we didn’t rest well for the whole night!! We have an important event to attend the next day and now the hygiene issue which is the most important thing that a hotel should aware of, it ruined our day!! At the end we need to check out at 6am in the morning because this place is sucks, the receptionist didn’t even say sorry, just keep quiet until we left. Don’t come to this hotel, the worst hotel in my life, what a nightmare!!

Really great experience at Sea Lion Oriental Hotel. Came here stayed 2 nights. Didnt expect much for a room at rm 58 but... Room was nice and cozy. Ambience was nice. flat screen tv was a surprise. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. They have a nice dim sum place downstairs. And a bak kut teh restaurant down the road. Normally I would expect a crappy room at this price. How I wish that all budget hotels are as good as this.

Noticed the wi-fi upgrade. So so powerful I do not need the tv although it is still a LCD. Great for sales person...comfy cheap cozy convenient. Try to book early to confirm your room. Even if there's no single room available, the standard and deluxe is pretty cheap too.

The that was given was dirty. Doesn't match with the pictures. The walls were dirty as you can see in the picture, bed sheet torn. Beside rooms some other groups were staying making continuous sound the whole night, banging their door and shouting, felt really unsafe. The receptionists also unfriendly and uncooperative. |We went to Pulau Ketum and next day planned to visit Carey Island so decided to stay here. By seeing the pictures thought they will give nice room but it was really disappointing, I have been to other boutique hotels bt those were much better.
