Low rating because there was a lack of coordinator to provide care, guidance and ushering at all the islands as compared to the other boat providers. Given that we all pay the same amount, this was highly disappointing - just go with the other providers. I had to identify other customers using the same like jacket and stand with them in order to figure out what was happening. Kinda messy and disorganised and they were also constantly late for boat pick up at the islands. There was also a lack of advise as to which islands were better to go to

Coordinator was absent most of the time and we had to figure out transport between the islands by asking different people to see what’s going on. She also told us the wrong reporting time (12pm instead of 1pm), and when we showed up at 12 told take the boat from one island to the other, she came only at 12:20, and then told us we were supposed to come at 1, not 12. Annoying and chaotic experience. Not at all smooth.

Seeing how other groups have been taken care of by their guides, and ushered to their boats, while the rest of us was waiting for a whole time. This is the worst. We canceled our orders at the restaurant coz they said it would take them 30-45 mins to cook and we dont want to be late only to wait at the docking area for a long time. We could have had our meal and then more.
If we call, they just say ok ok

This is my worst experience with Marriott Kota Kinabalu. I went to the concierge counter and requested for a luxury tour to be arranged by Marriot. I paid RM1880 for a day tour to Mount Kinabalu unfortunately I was only given a driver and an old bad condition van to accommodate 11 of us to our destinations. The tour company driver came 45 minutes late and the van provided was in a very bad state. The driver was a part time driver who did not even know our itinerary and asked us for it. The worst part was we didn’t even have a guide and the meal (lunch) provided was a cheap lunch at a small stall opposite Poring hot spring. The driver brought us to the dairy farm that was part of our itinerary and was closed when we arrived. On top of that, we had to purchase tickets and entrance fees for everything even when they should have been included in the tour already based on the price. I felt cheated and scammed by the tour company which was recommended by a Marriot staff, head of concierge named Shah. As a Platinum member of Bonvoy, I am extremely dissatisfied with the tour service that was provided to me by Marriott Kota Kinabalu. Hope you’re able to act on this matter sternly as this will damage Marriott’s reputation. If Marriot is unable to provide a proper luxury tour services to their guests then please do not recommend.

Avoid at all cost for the KK island hopping tour. There are no coordinators and most of the time we don't have a boat. Ended up having to beg other boats to take us or wait for an hour. Just a really really bad experience. Prices are the same as other company

Do not book with this. We are on an island waiting for one hour and still no idea if they come to pick us up or not. The agent told me she will call back 30 minutes ago, but she did not.
