Staffs are polite and professional.

The only telescope that is open to public.
closed on rainy days.
To see the moon, you have to wait for the moon to come out (obviously)
To see stars, or other planet such as jupiter, you have to wait for days without moon.
And for each of the planet there's specific season / window for these, so make sure to call the center before you visit.

Peluang yang sangat menarik bagi mendedahkan orang awam kepada cabang ilmu falak syar'ie. Cuma mungkin kurang promosi menyebabkan ramai orang walaupun yang menginap berdekatan bali cerap ini, tidak tahu tentang tempat ini. Orang ramai boleh melawat balai dan melihat bulan dan planet2 melalui teleskop di balai ini. Subhanallah bulan sangat cantik apabila dilihat secara dekat, begitu juga planet2 membuatkan kita kagum dengan kebesaran Allah taala. Tiket masuk bagi penginap Klana Beach Resort ialah percuma, bagi bukan penginap RM25 seorang dewasa.

So, there are 8 Observatories in Malaysia & only one is open to public. This lovely Observatory in Teluk Kemang. Stay at the Hotel next door n it's free entrance. Or pay RM25 for a visit. Your 6 floors walk up is accompanied by good information on the floor about the planets, eclipses, constellations, facts bout the sun n moon etc. So the walk up is not tedious at all. The telescope is amazing.. I got to see a mountain, on the moon. .. Amazing, check it out, and the let the kid in you have a fantastic time.

Went there for 10.30pm-12.00pm session. Main telescope was under maintenance. Klana guests got free entrance for 2 adults and children are free.

Had the chance to observe the moon from the 3rd floor telescope. Absolutely gorgeous!
Here for work so I was browsing around the Web on what to do in PD and was pleasantly surprised that there's an observatory that's open for public.

Of course during the CMCO certain guidelines needed to be followed and currently they are only open for the Klana resort guests(free) and are are only observing from the 3rd floor.

Nonetheless, it was an amazing experience and the staff are a very friendly and lovely bunch. You can definitely tell they are quite passionate about what they do. Definitely coming here again! Marking my calender for Saturn and Jupiter in August.😊

Overall experience is wonderful. It could be crowded sometimes because of limited spaces and queueing up to see. For my access is free because I stayed in Klana Beach resort which already included.

Although my visit period(August) is focusing on Saturn the result is small but we able to see its shape. Kinda impressed with it because Saturn is 1.2 billion km away and we still able to see its shape. With our eye it is just only 1 small stars blinking on the sky.

Balai cerapan Baitul Hilal terletak di batu 8, teluk kemang. Hanya lebih kurang 500m daripada hotel Klana Beach Resort Port Dickson. Menyediakan kemudahan dewan dan juga bilik latihan/mesyuarat. Pada tingkat paling atas terdapat kemudahan mikroskop bagi melihat anak bulan, yang hanya di buka pada waktu tertentu. Walaubagaimanapun, pihak hotel klana beach menyediakan kemudahan kepada pengunjung bagi melihat anak bulan atau bulan mengikut tarikh bulan hijrah. Waktu pada 5ptg sehingga 10mlm. Masa saya berada pada tarikh 12 Disember, cerapan pancuran meteor berlaku.
