Only thing amazing about the hotel is the location. It is close to town. I stayed in one of the rooms months ago but it is only now that I have the courage to write about my experience.
I checked into the hotel suite late at night. I was there alone for a 2 days stay because my current apartment is undergoing some renovation. Since it was near my apartment, I decided to give it a try. Sadly, I didn't do enough research.
The lobby was wide, spacious and empty. The hotel staffs were friendly. I was given my access card and I went straight to my room on the 1st floor. While walking through the lobby I felt eerie but dismissed it. I checked into my room and started doing my work on my laptop. The WiFi kept disconnecting and I was frustrated. I was on call with my friend all the while as i was working on my laptop. Granted I was working till midnight.
Suddenly, I heard loud sounds like my shower being turned on. It's like a loud rain of water splashing on the floor. I was alarmed but I waited till the sound stopped. I went to inspect the bathroom and the floor was dry so I thought maybe I was mistaken. Funny thing, my friend heard it too. I then heard children laughing. I thought they were other occupants of the hotel so I dismissed it. But the laughing got louder and louder and someone said Salam in front of my door.
At this point I was so engrossed with my work because of the tight deadline, so I continued working. I worked till 3 am. And I felt so tired... I got ready to sleep. Suddenly, I heard the shower turned on again. At this point, I felt so restless and spooked. I took my belongings and left my room. Whole time, felt like I was being watched.
I told the receptionist but they did not allow refunds. I couldn't stay another night there alone. If you dig deeper, this hotel has changed names multiple times due to so many horror stories in the past. This is also nearby a haunted villa.
I dont know how the hotel can continue to operate till this day.

The Avenue M hotel @ JB is underrated ? Maybe ..This is my second stay here and im back again because my kid love the pool and slides and the pool environment here as well . Although location is not that convenient for those without vehicles, im fine with taking grab and taxi if i want to find some lunch and dinner .. The main purpose is to let kid enjoy the swim . This hotel have a resort kinda vibe with trees, fresh air, good view around the pool . The only negative is, there are few floor tiles at the pool area that really need some touchup for safety purposes .. So parents, just need to be alert on this .. Otherwise, everything else is wonderful !The room is spacious, clean, nice and enough room amenities and if lucky, might get good view too . Wish the hotel will add in microwave oven in the future for guests's convenience because the kitchen area has alot of space for it . It would be really helpful for guests . Other than that, this hotel is really cozy and worth the price . Hotel's receptionist is kind and friendly . Their other staffs such as bellman/security/pool are kind and helpful as always . Come try and stay here and support this hotel . 💚

My family and I stayed at The Avenue M for one night. Although the hotel is generally showing its age, my family and I were grateful for the thoughtful care we received by the staff during our stay.

Upon checking into the hotel and arriving at our room, my family and I discovered that our hotel key card was unable to gain us entry into our room. The hotel staff at the reception responded very promptly, sending security and maintenance crew to help us resolve the issue. All staff involved were courteous and polite, going the extra mile to ensure that the matter was resolved, which it eventually did.

Restaurant staff were also warm and welcoming. All in all, a job well done!

Almost want to book the hotel, after seeing the TikTok paid reviews with great pools and slides, checked their website and decided to call in first before booking. Found out the swimming pool is under maintenance but when ask when will it be open they just said maybe 1 week and maybe not, not sure. Was disappointed because there's no accurate info and no info about pool maintenance on website either.
Just think if we booked and reached there it will be a whole lot of disappointments.

Tak ada lif yang menghubungkan basement dengan Lobby. Kena angkut barang guna tangga.

Parking basement sempit. Sampai lobby suasana suram dengan gaya old school. Staff membantu.

Bilik luas tapi sofanya dah menggelebeh. Aircond sejuk. Dekorasi terasa tua. Bilik air pemanasnya tak panas. Sinki retak menanti belah.

Breakfast pagi tak banyak pilihan. Makanan biasa je.

I have gathering at Avenue M. The seminar room quite big but the corridor looks creepy.If night event, might scary one. The food was good & yummy. This hotel is nearby the town area too.

Decided to go for this hotel when I saw the slide and water play, so bring my 2 young kids to check it out.|Summary|1) Water play - ok |The slides are quite run down and the layout of tiles on the floor around the pool is not safe for kids. There are sharp edges around and can be dangerous even while walking.|2) Sleep quality - Bad|Mattress was fine, pillows are not comfortable.|Worst was the AC vent blows DIRECTLY on your head and cannot be adjusted. There is a ceiling fan, but it was shaking when turned on.|3) Breakfast - Average|No fantastic wide spread, there is noodles, nasi lemak, porridge etc. 3 other dishes, laska, mee soto, egg station and some dessert.|4) Location - BAD|It is near the beach, but not quite walkable. To get to the mall just directly Opp, you need to walk on the road or grass to cross the overhead bridge then walk back to the entrance of the mall. |Basically, it is in the middle of some highway. Use google map street view to see it and you will understand.|It is far from your regular shopping areas too and the jam makes it worst.|Overall, hotel is ok, far from the regular shopping malls, sleep quality was bad but staff were friendly and nice.

My wife and I recently stayed at Avenue M, and we enjoyed the unique aspects of our stay. The room was incredibly spacious, almost like an Airbnb, complete with a kitchen that allowed us to self-cater. This added a homey touch to our hotel experience.However, there were some notable drawbacks. Breakfast was a letdown - the options were limited and didn't quite live up to our expectations. To make matters worse, there were a lot of flies buzzing around the breakfast area, which was unpleasant.The pool was also quite not so and limited, especially considering the size of the hotel.On the plus side, the hotel's location is fantastic - it's perfectly situated for exploring the area.Overall, while the room's size and kitchen facilities were definite pluses, the issues with breakfast, flies, and the pool need attention. With some improvements, this hotel could really shine.
